Birthday Wish List
Not only is November a month of cold, crisp, cosy days, it is also my birthday month, so, I thought I would make a dream birthday wish list!
I’m pretty sure that I will most likely end up buying all these bits for myself over the next few months… the expensive gadgets, I will simply continue adding them to gift lists until either myself or a family member wins the lottery and is able to buy them for me!
1. Dalit Candles
A set of three, Karan hand-crafted candles, which resemble the clay pots that Indian women are often seen carrying when returning from the well. All Dalit candles are handmade by the Dalit people of India and the purchase of these candles supports Dalit Goods Co‘s work with street children of this people group. These candles are available in a Lavender scent with a hint of vanilla mixed with blended beeswax and would be absolutely perfect to have on our mantelpiece.
2. Nkuku Display Frame
I have photos just about everywhere in our home and I always say that you can never have enough photo frames. I have always loved these simple display frames from Nkuku and whilst they are perfect for special family photos, I also think that they would be just lovely with some pressed Autumn leaves or dried ferns from the woodland in them.
3. Fraser & Parsley Acorn mobile phone case
This mobile phone case couldn’t be more perfect. I have an obsession with acorns; it was a theme that ran through most of our wedding stationery and living in the middle of the woods, the oak leaf and acorn seems to always remind me of home. If you’re not into acorns as much as I am, Fraser and Parsley has a whole range of beautifully designed phone cases and they are available as a snap case or tough case. Suitable for a wide variety of mobile phones and the best bit? They are 100% made in England! If you like this case as much as I do, you must also take a look at Fraser and Parsley‘s range of bespoke stationery.
4. Sony a6000 Camera
Now, this is where the ‘dream’ part comes into this wish list… I have been after a decent camera for years and since setting up this blog I have been looking around for a good camera. My mobile is great for taking photos, however, it would be a real treat to take photos around the woods and of our family with this lovely camera!
5. People Tree Cloud Nightdress
Who doesn’t love nice nightwear? I love nothing more than getting ready for bed early and sitting in front of a good film on a cold Autumn evening, and what would be better to wear than this nightdress?! Pale pink with cloud prints in 100% organic cotton jersey this is right up my street… rock’n’roll!
6. Green People Facial Collection Gift Set
I have been using Green People products for a while now and use their Fruitful Nights Night Cream every evening after being sent some products to try. Green People have just released limited edition gift sets, with 30p from every pack going towards supporting the Woodland Trust. This facial care gift collection contains, Rosemary & Sandalwood facial moisturiser, Calendula & Geranium facial cleanser and Manderin & Bergamot face scrub. My poor neglected skin is crying out for a set like this!
7. Braintree Bamboo Socks Gift Set
Braintree’s famous bamboo and heavenly hemp socks are available in fresh exclusive designs for women. They are breathable, anti bacterial, and super soft, so feet are kept happy all season long. View the New Bamboo Sock Collection at Braintree.
8. Roberts Revival DAB Radio
Once again, adding the ‘dream’ to this birthday wish list. I have been eyeing these radios up for some time now! The Roberts Revival DAB Radio is perfect in this leaf green colour and beautifully conjures up 1950s style whilst providing modern-day functionality. This would be perfect to have with me out in my ‘she shed’ once I have one (hint, hint, nudge, nudge to my OH!) or in the kitchen.
9. People Tree Ankle Socks
More socks?! Yes, well, I did say I feel the cold and these are perfect for my cosy evening in front of a DVD. These quirky, hand knitted socks are made from recycled wool yarn so every pair is unique!
10. Quill London, Modern Calligraphy Workshop
When I started putting together this list, this was at the very top, as I have become increasingly frustrated at my progress having been teaching myself modern calligraphy for some time now. Little did I know that by the time I came to write up this birthday list, I would actually WIN a place at one of Quill London’s Modern Calligraphy Workshops by taking part in Little Maldod‘s #MyThursdayBreaktime! I’m hoping to go to their workshop early in the New Year so a huge thank you to Quill London and Little Maldod, that’s one birthday present that has come early!
