Inhale the beginnings of a new season – Thought Clothing

Recently on my Instagram feed I touched on the changes that I have noticed in our woodland and whilst I too, am struggling with the seemingly non-existent Summer after the blocking high in Europe left us with rain for weeks, I am feeling excited at the prospect of the changing season and what lies ahead.

Autumn is quite possibly my favourite season; I wrote about Autumn and just some of the 10 things to look forward to this Autumn and what the season offers us when I first started this blog. We may still technically be in ‘Summer’, however change is coming and I am looking forward to welcoming it.

The season that lies ahead is a season of beauty and has important lessons for us all with valuable teachings; no more important than the lesson of how we can surrender and let go, and how that process can be something that is filled with beauty. Surrendering and letting go is also a necessary practice in slowing down after a busy summer simply to regain balance and good health.

With the return of the sun over the weekend I took to sitting beneath the trees first thing in the morning; under the thick canopy of chestnut leaves, the light flickering down, simply taking in the changes I see around me and reconnecting with my surroundings.

Embracing the changing season allows me to pause, take a breath and take time to reflect on what has been and where the next phase of my life might take me…

Through gentle pilates practice for my body and some deeply nourishing meditation I am able to quieten my mind and release any of the thought processes and/or patterns that are holding me back as I look ahead to a new season.

The start of the new season also brings the new collection of clothing from Thought. A favourite of mine, offering ethical clothing that is made out of the nicest, kindest fabrics and that is made to last… not just for this particular season, but year round and for years to come…

I have been wearing the Breathe Organic Cotton Jersey Top slogan tee from Thought. It is a lovely light 100% cotton jersey, it has long sleeves and is super-relaxed in the body, falling to mid thigh at the back and has been perfect for wearing around the house, as well as during my pilates practice. It wouldn’t look out of place in yoga class either as the slogan ‘inhale exhale’ is perfect for embracing mindfulness in class!

The Breathe Organic Cotton Jersey Top is perfect worn with any of the loungewear or leggings from Thought, I wear mine with the Nara Grey Bamboo Leggings. These super comfortable leggings have a really nice stripe pattern, with panelled-in areas to flatter the legs and add detail to the legging. The bamboo leggings have an elasticated waist to hold and mould to your shape and the thick band around the stomach makes it a nice comfortable fit.
