My Favourite Blogs

10 Things

My favourite Blogs…

I have seen bloggers post lists of their favourite blogs; this however, I am treating almost as my ‘blog directory’.

Below are 10 blogs, along with their instagram feeds that I simply adore. They are the ones that I check in on most days to see what’s new on their feed and if they have new blog posts for a good read.

I should add, that this list is in no particular order of favourites and I have only gone into detail with 10 here, there are many more blogs and Instagram feeds I enjoy, so I will add to my ‘blog directory’ in future posts.

A Modern Mama

@Polly_loves / A Modern Mama / Little Kin

What can I say about Polly? I just adore her Instagram feed, @Polly_loves and seeing what her little birds are up to. Her blog A Modern Mama, is equally gorgeous, a journal of her journey through motherhood, as well as a daily source of inspiration to other mama’s out there. Providing an insight in to seasonal living, homelife, health with essential oils… the list is endless. A daily ‘must-read’ for me.

Do also have a look at her photography website Little Kin; Polly specialises in modern, lifestyle portraits. She captures every day moments, connections and tells magical stories with her stunning captures.

This is Jules

@thisisjules / This is Jules

What don’t I love about Julia’s Instagram feed @thisisjules? Her photography composition, flay-lays and snapshots of her lovely family are just stunning.

Her blog, This is Jules is visually stunning; her logo is divine and the clean, simple site and navigation has me reading away most nights. Lovely posts about motherhood, giveaways and interesting interviews.

Like myself, Julia has only been blogging for six months, but my goodness does she seem like a total pro already. Julia’s latest post, ‘So you want to start your own blog?‘ mentions that one shouldn’t ‘Contrast and Compare’ oneself to others… GUILY! I honestly feel like a total amateur compared to this lovely lady and her blog.

Do take the time to have a read of her blog and to follow on Instagram.

Me and Orla

@me_and_orla / Me and Orla

A constant source of inspiration from Sara’s blog and Instagram feed. In fact, they are somewhat instrumental to each other as it was Instagram that Sara claims “changed her life”. Me and Orla, is another stunner of a blog; Sara posts about her life, her journey through parenthood, as well as personal posts and photography tips.

Sara’s Instagram feed, @me_and_orla has me liking pretty much every photo she posts. Her latest blog piece, ‘Instagram Tips: Learning from my mistakes III‘ stuns me, as I don’t believe Sara can take a bad photo, but it is posts such as these, both on her blog and on Instagram (oh and her Twitter) that make this person, that I see as an “Instagram Celebrity”, human to me! Not only does she admit where she feels she made mistakes, but she also shares her experiences with others.

Geoffrey and Grace

@geoffreyandgrace / Geoffrey and Grace

Meet Melanie, a woman who like me, is inspired by nature and finding a slower pace. A wife, mother and maker who has a fabulous beach hut (Margot, is her name!) where she makes and creates. Her blog, Geoffrey and Grace is full of beautiful photography and posts, capturing all that she makes and all she experiences in the most magical way.

Melanie’s Instagram feed, @geoffreyandgrace is a continuation of her fabulous style and influences. Her #slowliving_” hashtag has become a firm favourite of mine.

Need I say anymore? Geoffrey and Grace is a must see and must read, so go and take a look.

Lobster and Swan

@lobsterandswan / Lobster and Swan / The Future Kept

From the moment I discovered Lobster and Swan, it became a firm favourite of mine. Jeska is a wife, stylist, photographer as well as a blogger. Her blog, Lobster and Swan, is where she shares all the things that catch her eye and the adventures she goes on with her husband. Her blog is full of decorating ides, home styling, as well as daily discoveries and inspirations. I adore the look and feel of her blog, her logo is just plain perfection!

Jeska’s Instagram feed, @lobsterandswan is just incredible, most recently I have been totally absorbed in her stunning captures of her holiday to the Swedish Lapland; I honestly wanted to jump straight into the photo.

Also worth mentioning, is the online lifestyle shop, The Future Kept, that Jeska and her husband Dean run. Bank balances have been warned, this is a online shop you can’t step away from without purchasing some gorgeous goods!

Circle of Pine Trees

@circleofpines / Circle of Pine Trees

Another daily treat. Laura’s blog, A Circle of Pine Trees, is full of outdoor adventures with her three boys. A bookworm, like me, Laura started the hashtag #theyearinbooks; it is an ongoing project which is open to anyone over social media. The aim is to read at least a book a month during 2016, the project is in it’s third year and I think, is a great project for bookworms, or anyone who wants to start reading a bit more! There are also, stories from her kitchen table, where Laura documents her year with monthly photos of her kitchen table, a fabulous idea and a lovely way to document her year.

Laura’s instagram feed @circleofpines, is another beauty. The hashtag #littlestoriesofmylife, I use almost daily. Her photos are just gorgeous and her feed is one I am so happy to have found.

Seeds and Stitches

@hanbullivant / Seeds and Stitches

I first came across Hannah’s instagram feed, @hanbullivant, when I had a personal Instagram account. She was the first person to introduce me to the hashtag #natureinthehome and various other tags. Her feed has always been one that I enjoy and her interior style posts are a great source of inspiration. Hannah’s hashtag #embracingtheseasons is another tag that I use almost daily, as down here in the woods, I feel so connected to the changing seasons.

Hannah’s blog, Seeds and Stiches, is such a beautiful blog; all about seasonal living as a family and being truly connected to what is happening outside. A really special blog and one I thoroughly enjoy reading.

A Day in the life Dad@dayjam /A Day in the life Dad

Jamie’s blog, A Day in the life Dad, is such a refreshing read, it is so rare to hear about parenting from a father’s perspective and an honest perspective at that. This is a blog, I really enjoy.

Jamie also has a gorgeous Instagram feed, @dayjam which documents all the lovely adventures and home life with his stunning family. I am so pleased to have found Jamie’s feed and blog… and as someone who LOVES a good pint of Doombar, I very much hope that our families paths may cross one day for a pint and a walk in the woods!

Little Green Shed

@littlegreenshed / Little Green Shed

One of the first accounts I fell in love with when I set up my Instagram account. @littlegreenshed is stunning, I will happily trawl through Lou’s feed and discover a new gem of a photo that I haven’t seen before. Another hashtag I use almost daily is #natureinthehome, and Lou is also the founder of @sisterhood_camp, which I’ve yet to go on… something on the list of things I will get to do one day!

Lou’s blog, Little Green Shed is beautiful, the imagery alone has me scrolling through her posts. It covers her outdoor adventures with her family, as well as simple living, travel and nature. Her life is documented beautifully on this stunning blog.

All that is she

@allthatisshe / All that is she

All this is she, is a blog I adore. Another blog filled with stunning photos and posts, covering Dominique’s family, her wardrobe, travel and her life. I love her post from earlier this year ‘My non-resolution, New Year post‘ filled with honesty and inspiration. As a fellow ‘Suits’ fan, I enjoyed her discussing getting around to building her new website.

Dominique’s instagram feed, @allthatisshe, is just as beautiful. She has an incredible style and once again, this is an account I can scroll through and discover new stunning captures I haven’t seen before. Her wardrobe is absolutely to die for, and has me permanently questioning the old clothes I throw on every morning!
