Ethical Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Not only does March spell the start of Spring, it is also the month where we celebrate some very special women in our lives.
I cherish my mum and hope that most days, I make her feel special, but Mother’s Day, is the perfect moment to really stop and reflect on this extra special relationship, as well as all those hard working mummys out there.
So, if you like to spoil your mum, then why not take a look at my ethical Mother’s Day gift guide. There are lots of lovely products that I am quite sure would make your mum feel completely spoilt this Mother’s Day.
(…and if my husband is reading this… I’m pretty sure little A planned on getting me at least one of these……..!?)
1. Braintree Clothing, Bamboo Socks Gift Set
Braintree’s famous bamboo and heavenly hemp socks are available in fresh exclusive designs for women. They are breathable, anti bacterial, and super soft, so feet are kept happy all season long. View the New Bamboo Sock Collection at Braintree.
2. Fable Heart, Diamond Crown
These stunning crowns aren’t just for little people, they are for grown ups too, so why not treat your mum with this beautiful crown and make her feel like a Queen for the day.
3. The Gray Store, Medium Wash Bag
I already have the ‘Mama’ bag, and I absolutely love it. This personalised alphabet wash/cosmetic bag is the perfect travel companion. Made from cotton canvas and a choice of six fabrics for the initial, it would make the perfect gift for your mum and her cosmetics.
4. People Tree, Bead Branch Earrings
These beautiful earrings from People Tree are simply stunning; they are beautifully natural and would be perfect for a glam night out or simply to wear during the daytime with a more casual look. These are hand made from brass wire with beautiful glass bead detail.
5. Green People, Volumising Mascara
I don’t ever get the chance to splash out on nice makeup, but this volumising mascara is something I would love to add to my make up bag. Some friends have told me how amazing it is, and I quite believe them given how much I like Green People’s other products.
This black mascara is certified as organic, with long lasting black pigment. It not only volumises, it also conditions and lengthens lashes with Vitamin E, Sunflower Oil and Organic Beeswax.
6. Essence + Alchemy, Hand poured scented tea lights
Essence + Alchemy’s range of candles, tea lights and mists are a real favourite of mine. I was lucky enough to win a candle and mist in a competition and they smell incredible. Essence + Alchemy make collections of small-batch, natural, eco friendly botanical candles as well as home fragrances and they are all handmade in the UK.
7. The Future Kept, Lambswool wrist warmers
The ultimate luxury accessory; soft, knitted lambswool hand warmers are just perfect for indoors and out. These would be ideal if like me, you suffer with cold hands while working away at a computer, in the garden or on a walk and need something to warm your wrists up, whilst leaving your fingers free to work, type or use a touch screen.
8. The Future Kept, British made 100% recycled wool throw
This stunning collection of recycled 100% wool blankets is made from the excess material and yarn from making larger blankets. Each blanket is totally unique and the ultimate eco friendly throw for your home or to wrap around you on a mild Spring evening.
9. MOA, Fortifying green bath potion
Over Christmas, I gifted my friends and family with natural skin care products from MOA products. This fortifying green bath potion is perfect for de-stressing the mind and relieving aches and pains. Made with an invigorating herbal blend of refreshing peppermint, detoxifying fennel, calming fir needle and sweet birch this is ideal for those wanting to soak their aching muscles. I just love MOA’s packaging too!
10. The Great British Florist, Flowers in craft paper
It is so lovely to receive flowers, but to receive British flowers is something else.
These flowers are grown on a farm in Herefordshire; planted in a cutting patch with only traditional and seasonal garden flowers, meaning that these flowers are much fresher than their foreign competitors. If you really want to treat your mum this Mother’s Day with some extra special flowers, buy British and visit The Great British Florist.
