On a Bright Winter’s Morning
The first few weeks of 2017, have been somewhat hazy. A blur of sleepless nights, temperatures, tears and tantrums all thanks to the Chicken Pox Virus. I am thankful though, as trying as it may have been, the virus gave us an extra week together, to get some much needed recovery over at my parents’ house, after all the excitement of the Christmas Festivities.
How I would have got through that final week without that little break, I simply don’t know. (huge love and thank you’s M&D xx)
As the last of the spots begin to fade, we are all hugely thankful for the extended break and that the virus is over and out of the way.
So, here it is, my first post of 2017; while our little bird bravely faces the world of learning, play and friendships again, I am back working on design projects and writing about the wonderful day we shared yesterday.
It was the most gloriously sunny day in the woods, although sunny, there was a bite in the air that served to refresh and invigorate as we weaved our way in and out of the trees, brambles and bracken. We jumped from mounds of moss into piles of leaves, chased the dogs through masses of mud and stopped to “photograph” anything that caught the little one’s eye.
Bundled up we had a wonderful nature-filled adventure in the glorious winter light.
