Settling into the seasonal change with Braintree Clothing AW16

Autumn is the most incredible season; the trees are beginning to transform from their lush green into the most stunning tones of red, gold and brown. Gradually the leaves here are turning, the wind is picking up and the evenings and early mornings have a distinct chill in the air.

As the temperature drops and the days shorten, we have been settling into the seasonal change here in the woods and love nothing more than venturing into our woodland, along paths covered in fallen leaves, crunching under foot.

It is a truly enchanting time to be out in the woods. One of the many reasons I love this particular season is because I just love Autumn fashion. Summer dresses, vest tops, shorts and flip flops are lovely, but Autumn is a time to wrap up in a favourite jumper or cardigan with jeans or thick tights and a dress and embrace Autumn fashion.

Braintree Clothing have put the most fabulous AW16 collection together. Recently, I have been living in my beautiful Birnberg Organic Cotton Sweater from Braintree Clothing. It is the perfect jumper for being outdoors, as it’s relaxed fit is ideal for putting on over layers. The Birnberg Organic Cotton Sweater has a beautiful pattern on it which takes its inspiration from the iconic Fair Isle jumper. You can see me wearing this jumper in my last post ‘Our adventures to the South Coast of Cornwall‘.

I have also been wearing the Braintree Inga Leesa Dress in Ingrid Check from the AW16 collection. Made from 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton, this incredibly soft check dress features a cropped top. The cropped top, creates the illusion of effortless layering and a relaxed, timeless style.

The Inga Leesa Dress from Braintree Clothing is perfect worn with chunky knit tights, a pair of boots and teamed with a cardigan or layered with a jumper. This dress is simply perfect for these Autumn days; outdoors on a walk, curled up on the sofa, or worn out for a meal with a pair of heeled boots, this is a new ‘go to’ item in my wardrobe.
