Creating a Cardboard Rocket – Emma Mattress
You may have read When Emma arrived in the woods – Emma Mattress and how delighted we are with the Emma Mattress in our spare room.
What I didn’t mention in my post was just how excited our little girl was from the moment the Emma Mattress was delivered.
As a family, we are firm believers in recycling, upcycling and doing what we can to reduce the waste in landfill, so she knew as soon as it arrived that we would have plans for the box!
We were thrilled to repurpose the cardboard box that arrived containing the Emma Mattress, as well as another box we had. We created a door, cut out windows, made control panel and phone for mission control contact inside. It was decorated with hand-drawn spiders as the craft was named ‘Spider the Space Rocket’ and star stickers were placed all over.
I would love to hear from you if you too, make things for your children using packaging you receive items in. Feel free to leave me a comment below 🙂

Please Note: I have not been paid for this post, although I received an Emma Mattress in exchange for writing an honest review. All words, opinions and photography are my own.
