Time to get cosy with some Winter warmers – ALSO Home

After a few grey, gloomy days, the sun and crisp blue skies finally reappeared, so after completing all my outdoor jobs, I decided to dig in and set about finishing the last of my Christmas cards.
Our bedroom is lovely, however, I see the spare room as a place of calm. Just last weekend, it was described by a friend as a ‘serene space’, so it is here, in the spare room/workroom I spend a lot of my time. With my little girl at preschool, I thoroughly enjoyed digging in under a beautiful warm throw and cocooned in a nest of cushions.

Macy Throw
A beautiful charcoal grey throw with a delicate coral crochet trim, which has a fabulous feel to it. The soft basket weave creates a relaxed and cosy look and feel.
Teal Velvet Cushion
Teal is one of my favourite colours, so this beautiful velvet cushion is a new favourite of mine. The classic teal velvet front is beautifully contrasted by the natural colour on the back. Whilst teal may seem like a bold colour to some, this cushion is of a muted shade, so works perfectly in our home.
Navajo Cushion
This beautiful cushion has a handcrafted, embroidered pattern on the front. The grey embroidery on 100% white linen makes this the perfect addition to the bed in the spare room. It works perfectly with the decor in this room and whilst nice and muted, it has become a statement piece on the bed.
White Lacquered Tray
Something I have never owned is a tray, it is something that has long been on my list of things to buy and this square tray is ideal. Whilst breakfast in bed, is something I haven’t been treated with, it has been ideal to take drinks to and from the garden or snacks out in the playhouse with my daughter. Whilst heavily lacquered, this tray looks classic, chic and elegant in any surrounding… especially for those afternoon cuppas I take to my husband’s workshop!
