As a pet owner, it is often so easy to pop to the local pet shop and pick up the mass produced items on the shelves, however, I like to source unique, handmade items where I possibly can. I know our dogs can’t tell the difference, but I can, and in my home, I like to have items that sit well, both ethically and aesthetically.

It was their collection of handmade pottery dog bowls and treat jars that I knew I had to have for our new pup, and I was absolutely thrilled with them when they arrived.

Handmade Pottery Dog Bowl

The Dandy Dog Company pottery dog bowl, is a beautiful handmade glazed dog bowl. Handcrafted exclusively for The Dandy Dog Company by a local potter, the glazed dog bowl, comes in a wide range of colours: white, matt cream, light blue, dark blue, red, and black. Due to the handmade nature of the product, no bowl is the same, making a truly unique item for your dog.

The bowls are both stylish and practical and are available in two sizes, small and large. A handmade dog water bowl is also available and are extra deep making them perfect for households with multiple dogs.

We chose the light blue dog bowl, and it really is perfect for our little pup.

Pottery Dog Treat Jars

The Dandy Dog Company handmade pottery dog treat jars, are also made exclusively for The Dandy Dog Company by a local Dorset Artisan Potter. The treat jars are a great size to fill up with treats for your dog and feature an embossed paw print design on the front.

I currently store all the pup’s feed in the jar rather than treats. The Dandy Dog Company handmade pottery dog treat jar is a really lovely item to have in the kitchen, and as soon as the little fur ball sees me take the jar off the shelf, he sits at my feet and playfully barks in anticipation of his next feed!

Once our pup finishes his meal, the bowl is cleaned and put away on the shelf, and both the treat jar and bowl are stored away together.
