Green People Fruitful Nights Night Cream Review
This is a real first for me to review a skin care product as I am someone who tends to do the minimum skin care routine based on years of problem skin. Let me explain, I am not lazy or dirty, I just realised that the more I put onto my skin topically the more problems I would have with my acne.
Years of breakouts meant endless trips to the Doctors and Dermatologists, being given various lotions, potions and pills to try; not to mention, on top of all of this I had become so desperate, I was also trying out products available to buy in the shops. So, after finally getting my skin under control by leaving it well alone, I decided to simply use warm water and a very mild soap to wash my face first thing, and last thing at night.
As a mother of a toddler, I have been longing for a little something for my tired and neglected skin. I have been looking around at various products but when reading the ‘science’ behind the creams and the long list of ingredients they contain I have been put off; a few weeks ago however, I was given a real treat.
I was contacted my Green People UK and asked to try a few of their products and having used their baby sun cream on my daughter since she was a baby I jumped at the chance. I knew the product range was extensive and the product we already used was ideal for my baby’s delicate skin so I thought, perhaps it could also work well on my sensitive skin.
One of the products I was sent was Green People Fruitful Nights Night Cream; I have now been using it for just under a week and I am so happy with the results.
After washing my face at night, I put a small amount of Fruitful Nights moisturiser cream onto my finger and apply it to my face and leave it on overnight. You really don’t need to use much as Green People don’t dilute or bulk out their products with water or synthetic fillers, so less, really is more when using Green People products. This isn’t just great for your skin, it also means the products last that much longer!
Fruitful Nights Night Cream smells absolutely delicious and really feels like you’re giving your skin a fabulous treat while you’re applying it. On night one, I applied the cream, thought it felt and smelt really nice but being a closet cynic, thought I’d probably wake up and feel no different. By the morning however, my skin really did look and feel smoother, as if I had actually had a facial overnight.
This organic, moisturising night cream also works to smooth away fine lines, giving skin an even texture and it also improves pigmentation marks. I have already noticed in just under a week, that the pigmentation marks that appeared on my face whilst pregnant with my daughter are finally fading. So, when I say I’m thrilled with this product, I really am!
Now, I’ve gone on about what this product has done for me but you may be wondering what is in this cream. As with all other Green People products, this product has 90% natural and organic ingredients, it is 100% vegetarian and 100% cruelty free, so you know that what you are putting your skin can only be the very best and natural product.
Fruitful Nights Night Cream contains:
- Organic Rosehip
- Magnolia
- Damask Rose
- Hibiscus
- Fruit extracts
Ginger Root
Ginger, as most of us know, provides huge health benefits and in this case the ginger increases circulation of both blood and lymph, to provide extra nutrients for skin health and repair. It also inhibits an enzyme which is responsible for breaking down and destroying Collagen.
Hibiscus
Known as the “Botox Plant”, this extract helps skin elasticity as well as sagging and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also offers antioxidant activity, protecting living cells and maintaining skin health and vitality.
Pineapple
Pineapple contains an enzyme which breaks down the bonds holding dead cells onto the skins surface. Shedding dead skin exposes younger, more vibrant cells, this allows this fabulous moisturiser to penetrate these new cells to deliver it’s many benefits.
Fruitful Nights Cream isn’t just an alcohol-free cream; it is also made without parabens, lanolin, artificial perfumes and colourants as well as many more ‘nasties’, to provide the purest skin cream. I really have been so happy with the results and have even had comments on how my skin is “glowing”, which for someone like me, who has always felt insecure about my skin, is a real compliment.
As well as this fabulous cream, I also received some other samples for myself and my daughter. We are using the Lavender Baby Wash and Shampoo on my daughter at bath time as it is very gentle and nourishing and the Soothing Baby Salve on both of us for our chapped lips and dry skin with equally positive results.
I tested the Fruitful Nights Night Cream 50ml size which costs £15.95. It is the perfect size for travelling, popping into an overnight bag or keeping in a bathroom cabinet without taking up too much space.
